So why do people say it is?

There’s real confusion about the law in England and Wales. Canoeists, kayakers and swimmers have no recognized legal right to enjoy rivers or lakes. So people are confused about where they can go and what they can do.

We want to change that. We’re asking the Welsh Assembly to pass a bill to give the public access to land and water – so there’s no more confusion. And we need your help to make it a success.
